Joining the Grade 3 Band
Those interested in joining the Grade 3 band should have a strong command of their instrument, a desire to improve through numerous practice sessions, and a competitive spirit.
Pipers interested in joining the Grade 3 Band should contact PM Byrne O’Sullivan. Some pipers might be asked to audition for the band by playing an MSR and selection of other tunes.
Drummers interested in joining the Grade 2 band should contact Robert (Rob) Adams, Jr. (D/S).
Joining the Grade 4 Band (Martin Duffy Memorial Pipe Band)
Those interested in joining the Grade 4 band should have a strong desire to learn and improve their playing, a willingness to expand their musical horizons, and a competitive spirit.

Come Visit Monaghan
A great way to see if Monaghan is the challenge that your looking for is to stop by the
day of a games or to visit one of our many practices.
The Grade 3 band primarily practices at Kelly Ryan's on Mosholu Avenue in the Bronx from
7:30 till 10:00 on Monday evenings. Additionally, outdoor rehearsals are often held in
Van Cortlandt Park. Directions to all locations may be found below.

The Grade 4 band primarily practices at the AOH Hall on Gerritsen Avenue in Gerritsen Beach,
Brooklyn from 7:00 till 9:00 on Thursday evenings. Directions to may be found below.

Manhattan, or NJ via George Washington Bridge
Henry Hudson Parkway North to Broadway Exit, make right onto
Broadway and a left onto Mosholu Avenue. Kelly Ryans is one block in on your
left.
Or
Major Deegan (I-87) Northbound to Van Cortlandt Park South Exit. Make left
off exit and then make a right onto Broadway (Elevated Train) . Proceed north
on Broadway to Mosholu Ave, make left.
From Brooklyn, Queens, Long Island
Triborough Bridge to Major Deegan (see above).
Throgs
Neck or Whitestone Bridge to Bruckner or Cross Bronx Expwy to Major Deegan
as above, or take Bronx River Pkwy North to Mosholu Parkway. Follow Mosholu
Parkway all the way across until it merges with Henry Hudson Pkwy, get off
at Broadway exit, as above.
From Westchester and Connecticut
Take any highway to the Cross County Parkway west bound, to Saw Mill Pkwy South which turn into the Henry Hudson Pkwy, get off at Broadway as above, or just take Deegan (I-87) to Van Cortlandt Park South Exit, make Right off Exit and a left onto Broadway, as above.

Transit
Metro North to Riverdale
Station on Hudson line, or Metro North to Woodlawn Station on Harlem Line.
Take taxi.
Subway:
Broadway #1 line north to last stop at Broadway/242nd Street. Walk,
take bus or taxi the roughly 16 blocks north to Mosholu Avenue.
“A” Train to last stop – Inwood- 207th Street/Broadway. Bus
or taxi the approximately 50 blocks north to Mosholu Ave
